Skincare packaging manufacturer: formula-driven design and brand finish

Sumseng Group is a skincare packaging manufacturer and custom skincare packaging factory supplying primary packaging for beauty and personal care brands. Since 2006, we have produced cosmetic bottles, jars, tubes, closures and decorated components, with integrated mold design and manufacturing, injection molding, coating, hot stamping, printing, vacuum metallization and assembly within one controlled supply chain.

Among China luxury skincare packaging manufacturers, we treat packaging as a functional system: the formula, the filling line and the consumer experience are designed together. Our skincare packaging manufacturer range is therefore organized by dispensing behavior, not just by container shape.

The Sumseng skincare packaging range

We supply five product families, each with stock options and a custom development path for exclusive brand structures.

Airless lotion bottle

Piston-driven vacuum dispensing for serums, lotions and treatment creams that need protection from oxidation.

Cream jar

Wide-mouth access for thick creams, masks and body balms, with liner and refillable options.

Cosmetic Spray bottle

Fine mist atomization for toners, facial mists and setting sprays.

Glass drop bottle

Precision dropper dispensing for face oils, essences and eye treatments.

Cosmetic hose packaging

Flexible tube formats for cleansers, gels, lotions and sunscreens.

Product family and application fit

Product family Dispensing behavior Best formula fit Key engineering notes
Airless lotion bottle Piston-driven vacuum pump Oxygen-sensitive serums, lotions and treatment creams Reduces air contact, low residual, optional double-wall or transparent body
Cream jar Wide-mouth access with fitted liner Thick creams, masks and body balms PP inner liner for compatibility, optional refillable architecture, multiple outer finishes
Cosmetic Spray bottle Fine mist atomization Toners, facial mists and setting sprays Ergonomic actuator, leak-proof over-cap, PET, glass or aluminum bodies
Glass drop bottle Precision dropper Face oils, essences and eye treatments Glass body, tight-sealing dropper, controlled single-drop dosing
Cosmetic hose packaging Squeeze tube with controlled output Cleansers, gels, lotions and sunscreens Flexible structure, printable surface, practical for daily-use formats

For oxygen-sensitive formulas, the Airless lotion bottle family offers piston-driven structures that limit air intake. For thick textures, the Cream jar family provides wide-mouth filling, liner compatibility and decoration options.

Materials, finishes and critical specifications

For luxury skincare packaging, material choice must balance chemical compatibility, weight, clarity and sustainability. We work with cosmetic-grade PET, PETG, PMMA, glass, aluminum and PP, and we select the combination according to the formula and filling condition.

  • PET and PETG: clear, lightweight, impact-resistant bottles and jars
  • PMMA and heavy-wall glass: premium weight, glass-like clarity and decorative depth
  • PP inner liner: chemical compatibility for cream formulas inside decorated outer shells
  • Aluminum: corrosion-resistant spray and tube packaging
  • Finishes: matte frosting, silk screening, hot stamping, printing, vacuum metallization and metallic plating

Critical specifications we confirm during development include neck finish, wall thickness, liner fit, closure torque, pump output, dropper seal and residual volume. These values are reviewed in structural drawings and verified in trial molding before mass production.

Engineering value and customization path

Every custom project follows a controlled development path so that design decisions are confirmed before tooling starts.

  1. Project brief: We confirm specs, crafts, budget and lead time, and assess feasibility.
  2. Structural design: We design opening and sealing structures, calibrate tolerances and deliver drawings.
  3. 3D prototyping: We produce physical samples to verify size and assembly and reduce mold revision costs.
  4. Mold development: We manufacture precision molds and conduct trial molding to fix defects.
  5. Injection molding: We control process parameters and inspect semi-finished parts.
  6. Assembly and final review: We complete assembly and full inspection on appearance and functions.

Stock molds allow faster adaptation; custom molds are used when a brand requires exclusive shapes, dimensions or decoration. OEM and ODM projects are supported with the same engineering process.

Quality assurance and acceptance testing

Our quality management system is ISO9001 certified and covers the full production flow from incoming materials to final inspection. Every order passes appearance and functional checks, and custom tooling is validated through trial molding and sample approval.

  • Dimensions, wall thickness and assembly fit are checked against approved samples.
  • Pumps, sprayers and droppers are tested for output, torque and leak resistance.
  • Decoration is inspected for color, adhesion and surface consistency.
  • Environmental treatment in our finishing process includes dry mist removal, activated carbon adsorption and desorption, and catalytic combustion for compliant emissions.

When an order is built around an approved sample, that sample becomes the acceptance reference for mass production. For refillable packaging, liner and closure performance is verified in the same way as the primary container.

Information we use to configure your solution

To prepare a proposal and production plan, we use a short project brief covering the formula, the filling requirement and the commercial target.

  • Product type and formula: viscosity, oxygen or light sensitivity, alcohol content and fill temperature
  • Target format: bottle, jar, spray, dropper or tube; target fill volume and closure size
  • Material and finish: PET, PETG, PMMA, glass, aluminum; clear, frosted, matte or metallic
  • Decoration: silk screening, hot stamping, printing, vacuum metallization, shrink-sleeve or plating
  • Production volume and timing: sampling deadline, tooling requirement and first-order schedule
  • Filling line details: neck finish, filling method, capping torque and line speed where relevant
  • Documentation: material data, compliance documents and export packaging instructions

With that information, we can recommend a stock-mold adaptation or custom mold development and confirm the inspection criteria used for acceptance.

Project coordination, filling-line fit and delivery

Containers are designed to run on conventional filling, capping and labeling lines. During the project brief, we confirm neck finish, closure compatibility and the intended filling method so the packaging does not create line surprises.

After assembly and final review, qualified goods are arranged for delivery with protective packaging. For repeat projects, the same component specification and decoration standard is maintained so subsequent orders match the first approved sample.

When a brand launch includes color cosmetics, we coordinate the same development path with our Makeup Packaging range.

Frequently asked questions

What skincare packaging formats does Sumseng manufacture?

We manufacture airless lotion bottles, cream jars, cosmetic spray bottles, glass drop bottles and cosmetic hose packaging. Each family is available with stock molds or custom tooling for exclusive structures and decoration.

Can you develop custom molds for luxury skincare packaging?

Yes. Our development path covers project brief, structural design, 3D prototyping, mold development, injection molding, and assembly with final review. Custom molds are used when a brand needs proprietary shapes, capacities or finishes.

What materials do you use for cream jars and airless bottles?

We use PET, PETG, PMMA, glass, aluminum and PP according to formula requirements. Cream jars commonly combine a PP inner liner with a decorated outer shell; airless bottles can be produced in clear, frosted or double-wall constructions.

How do you ensure quality before shipment?

Our ISO9001 quality system covers incoming materials, trial molding, semi-finished inspection, assembly and final appearance and functional checks. Pumps, sprayers, droppers and closures are tested against the approved sample before delivery.

Do you support eco friendly skincare packaging?

Yes. As an eco friendly skincare packaging factory, we offer refillable jar systems, recyclable bottle bodies and compliant environmental treatment in finishing processes. Tell us your sustainability target during the project brief.

What information do you need for a quotation?

We need the formula type, target format and fill volume, material and finish preferences, decoration requirements, production volume and timeline, and filling line details. This allows us to recommend a stock-mold or custom-mold solution and confirm acceptance criteria.
